Today I learned about the very interesting daily parade at wagah's border. It is a border between India and Pakistan. During this daily military practice, the security forces of India (Border Security Force) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) do some sort of a dance off - a show off of strength that both nations followed since 1959. This is also called 'lowering of the flags' ceremony, or The Beating Retreat ceremony. This looks amazing. I don't think I ever pulled a leg so high in my life.
This parade of strength that suppose to discourage the opponent seems to be present in different cultures. I am thinking for example about the Maori tribes (New Zealand) and their haka dance.
