Frank Sinatra sings in polish

In the film “The Miracle of the Bells” of 1947, Frank Sinatra himself sang a song “Ever Homeward”, an English version of an old Polish song “Powrót” written and composed by Kazimierz Lubomirski. Later, on the 8th of December 1947, Sinatra recorded this song with the Axel Stordahl Orchestra for Columbia Records.

The artist sang it both in English and Polish on this record. In January 1982 during the martial law, he also sang it on American TV in the programme “Let Poland Be Poland” (“Niech Polska będzie Polską”).

The polish version starts at 2:02 with the words "wolne serce, lekka dusza, mam też mój dom blisko" that means a heart that is free (heart - serce), a light soul, my home is close.
