SER BIAŁY (or TWARÓG) - pot cheese or curd cheese. Literal translation would be white cheese. This type of cheese is very popular in Poland. This is not the cottage cheese you can buy as the texture and taste is a bit different. It is very healthy, full of calcium and proteins. Eaten in many forms. It can be seasoned to be sweet or salty. It can be cooked and baked but is fantastic by itself with any heat treating.
In Poland the best one is the simplest one. You can buy it in all grocery stores. Yes, ALL of them sells it. It is like a tofu of Europe. It is shaped either in triangles or rectangles in shops or bazaars.
For those of you willing to try it - you can do this cheese at home. It is not hard!
